Food Truck Race

For our anniversary date back in April my awesome husband surprised me with an amazing once in a lifetime date!  He didn't tell me where we were going but had me drive to our destination following directions from the GPS. I had no idea where we were going.  We ended up in Salt Lake and he told me the Food Truck Race from Food Network was here in Salt Lake!! I was so excited and had no idea at all about it. He thought for sure I would know about it but I had been so busy that week with moving into our new home that I didn't check twitter or facebook so I didn't hear a thing about it.

We had so much fun and even though we only had time to try a couple of food trucks it was so fun!  Our favorite was Devilicious. We had a BLT sandwich with a fried egg.  It seriously is one of the best things I've ever had and so we were sad to find out they were the truck that got sent home that week.  Over at the food truck Cafe con Leche we were first in line and the camera man took footage of her taking my order.  Although that didn't end up on tv I did get a couple of seconds of fame on the Food Network.  

The episode aired last night.  We recorded it so I was able to take some pictures of us.  I hope you don't think I'm a dork taking a picture of the tv but hey I am a super Food Network fan and this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to be on the Food Network!
