Sizzler's Malibu Chicken

A little while ago my friend Kayla posted on facebook that she had made Sizzler's Malibu Chicken for dinner and that is was really good.  Derek and I love their Malibu Chicken so I asked her for the recipe. I was excited to learn how to make a food at home that I enjoy at a restaurant.  It was easy to make and tasted incredible!  I think it's the best chicken I've ever made. The chicken was so tender and I loved all the flavors.  You can't go wrong adding swiss cheese and ham to chicken, yum!

Sizzler’s Malibu Chicken Recipe
Recipe from cdkitchen
Ingredients:
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
6 chicken breasts, skinned, boned, pounded thin
3/4 cup fine dry breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons butter
6 slices cooked ham
6 slices Swiss cheese
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/4 cup mayonnaise

Directions:
Combine flour, salt and pepper. Stir egg and water together with a fork. Coat each chicken piece with flour, dip into egg mixture and then coat with crumbs. Press crumbs in firmly.

Heat oil and butter in large skillet over medium heat. Brown chicken 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Place browned chicken on oven-proof platter, top each piece with a slice of ham and slice of cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees F. until cheese melts.

Combine mustard and mayonnaise. Serve chicken immediately with sauce.

  1. This sounds good. I like that the ingredients are common ones. I think I'll be trying this one!
