Super Quick Breakfast Ideas

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! There's a saying, "The worst thing you can have for breakfast is nothing." My sister-in-law was telling me how her husband would rather sleep a little longer than take time to eat breakfast.  I thought that was terrible so I made her this list of super quick breakfast foods. The idea is to have no excuse not to eat breakfast. All of these foods are ready to go or only take a minute to make or warm up.

Fruit- Bananas, Pears, Apples etc.
Granola Bars
Instant Breakfast Drink- Our favorite is Carnation Breakfast Essentials.

Egg Sandwich- Just prepare ahead of time and keep in the fridge or freezer. Reheat in microwave or toaster oven until warmed through. Click here for the best egg sandwich you will ever have!

Breakfast Burritos- You can add anything you'd like to it and it's a great to go breakfast. I make a big batch of these every other month and keep them in the freezer. Click here for how I make them.

Smoothies- Add in any fruit, a little yogurt or milk and a teaspoon of honey and blend until smooth. Here are some of my favorites.

Yogurt- So good and so good for you.  It comes in so many flavors.  I love to add my own fruit mix-ins.  You can take it to go if needed.

Granola- The perfect topping for yogurt.

Cereal-  Takes no time to prepare!

Bagels with Cream Cheese- A filling breakfast and easy to take with you.

Steel Cut Oats- I am in love with this! I love having it for breakfast and it's so good for you. If you've never tried it you have to give it a try.  I make it on Sunday and it lasts me throughout the week. I just microwave a small amount in the morning and I love to eat it with frozen blueberries. Click here for my favorite way to make it.

Instant Oatmeal

Peanut Butter and Honey or Jelly on Whole Wheat Bread or an English Muffin

Toast

Muffins- Make a batch ahead of time and freeze them. Pull one out in the morning and microwave for 10 seconds.  Click here for my favorite muffin recipes.

  1. I totally agree with you about breakfast. I just could not miss it and have porridge and wholemeal toast every morning or home made yogurt, fruit and wholemeal bread and honey.
